Japanese Strawberry Sandwich Recipe

Have a sweet Japanese treat with creamy strawberry sandwiches made with 3 ingredients! It is easy to whip this snack with your preferred bread, heavy cream, and fresh strawberries. Enjoy these sandwiches for tea time or dessert after a meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 5 strawberries
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

  • Trim the crusts of the bread.
  • Clean and cut the leaves of the strawberries and shape them into heart shapes. You can shape it into a heart by cutting the top into a v-shape.
  • Whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks. It is a lot easier and faster to do this with an electric whisk.
  • Spread the whipped cream evenly on the bread, place the strawberries, and top with more cream. I put the heavy cream into a piping bag and pipe it out. Then, I use a cream handle cutlery to smooth the heavy cream.
  • Cover with another slice of bread.
  • Wrap tightly with plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Cut the sandwich into small triangles before serving.
