In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar/honey, cinnamon powder, vanilla extract and salt. Dip bread slices one by one into egg mixture until well soaked.
Heat a frypan over medium heat, then add salted butter. Once butter has melted, fry bread slices on both sides till golden brown. Serve with honey or maple syrup.
CARAMELIZED APPLES
Heat another frypan over medium heat, then add butter and allow it to melt. Once butter has melted, add sugar and allow it to dissolve.
Add apple wedges and fry on both sides until tender and caramelized. This should take around 5-10 minutes. You can add some water if the sugar mixture gets too dry. Serve caramelized apples over french toast.
